1. The short version

sansebastiantapastour.com earns a commission when you book a tour through a link on this site. You pay exactly the same price you would pay going to GetYourGuide directly — the commission comes out of the operator's margin, not out of your pocket. If you book nothing, we earn nothing.

2. Which links are affiliate links

Every link to getyourguide.com on this site is an affiliate link, including the embedded availability widgets, the buttons labelled “Check availability” or “Book now”, the tour names in our comparison tables, and the footer link to all San Sebastián tours. These are marked rel="sponsored" in the page source, which is the machine-readable convention search engines use.

Links to reference sources are not affiliate links and earn us nothing.

3. This is required, and we would say it anyway

The United States Federal Trade Commission requires clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections between a publisher and the products it recommends. The UK Advertising Standards Authority and CAP Code impose an equivalent obligation. This page, the line in our site footer, and the note beneath every booking button exist to meet that standard.

4. How the commission affects what we write

It creates an obvious incentive, so here is how we handle it. The tours we recommend first were chosen on review volume, rating and what the base price actually includes, not on commission rate — GetYourGuide pays the same rate across these products, so there is no financial reason for us to prefer one over another.

We say plainly when a tour is not the right choice. The central argument of this site is that a self-guided pintxo evening costs roughly €35–45 per person against $115–170 for a guided one, that a tour is worth booking on a first evening and not on a third, and that anyone staying several nights should go independently after one. We publish a whole page on whether these tours are worth it that argues both sides, and we point readers at a $17 walking tour as a way to test the idea before spending $120. All of that reduces the commission we earn, and it is the honest answer.

We also flag tours with very few reviews as provisional rather than presenting a five-star average from two ratings as though it were established, and we quote critical reviews alongside positive ones where they say something useful.

Ratings and review counts quoted on this site are the platform's own figures, rounded down and dated to when we checked them. Reviews are quoted verbatim and never edited or invented.

5. We are not the tour operator

We do not sell, operate, staff or insure any tour described on this site. Your booking contract is with GetYourGuide and the local operator. Cancellations, refunds, complaints and anything that goes wrong on the day are matters for them, and their terms apply. We have no ability to alter a booking.

6. Accuracy

Prices, ratings, review counts, group-size caps, minimum ages, opening hours and inclusions on this site were accurate on the date shown and change without notice. Bar openings and closures in San Sebastián in particular change faster than any page can track, and we say so where we are unsure. Verify anything that matters to your budget, your diet or your access needs against the listing and the operator before you travel.
